Review on 🛠️ Volvo Penta OMC Cobra U-Joint Bellow Kit 987467, 384148, 22197130 - Now New and Compatible with SX, DP-S, DP-SM by Jimmie Gebrehiwot

I check the cardan shaft and replace the bellows every two seasons. I have always used original parts. For half the price I decided I would try the secondary bellows one day. This boot fits perfectly and installs just as well as the OEM. However, I found this crack wide open after hearing noises in the gimbal bearing area. Very large crack near the clamp on the transom bracket and many splits/cracks along the length of the bellows. Occasionally, after 2 seasons, OEM Volvo bellows will show small cracks on the outside, but never that many. No matter what rubber it's made of, it's not as good as OEM. Less than 2 seasons and 80 hours on this part and I am now replacing the gimbal and possibly the gimbal due to water ingress. DO NOT SAVE $25 TO BUY THIS PART. Back to OEM Volvo parts for me.
