Review on 🧊 HIC Harold Import Co. Ice Pick with Protective Cover: A Versatile Tool for Precision Ice Breaking by Ryan Lawson

Failed to load media. Review Update July 18, 2020: After using this ice pick for a year, I noticed silver flakes in my drink. Thank goodness I saw them or I would have swallowed them (maybe I've done that with previous drinks). I looked in the ice cube tray and found several pieces of ice with the same silver flakes. Examined the ice ax and found that the silver plating on the ice ax was missing (see last picture). I don't know what this ice ax is made out of, and I don't know what most ice axes are made out of, but I didn't expect something so simple to only last a year. Before that, my biggest problem, aside from the ill-fitting socket, was dulling the tip of the axe. nope; Selection point is ok. The problem is the metal. It will peel off over time. I will not buy this brand again and I cannot in good conscience recommend this product. Also, I changed the rating to 1 star. First review: Looks and feels very good. But unfortunately it turned out that the cover does not suit the mediator. The scabbard that fits over the metal pickaxe and connects to the handle doesn't fit properly. There is no thread for screwing the scabbard to the handle. I think it had to stay in place through friction. If you put the cover on and lift the ice ax by the handle, the cover will fall off. It's a shame. So if you put it in the drawer with your other supplies, you know what's going to happen. If you use other utensils, the scabbard will fly off the ice ax over time. If you pick up an ice pick, the sheath will fall off, or if you grab it by the sheath, the ice pick will fall. I've read other reviews that say the metal part of the ice ax is coming off. I haven't looked into this topic yet, but I'll keep an eye on it. It was less than $6 so I won't bother with a refund.
