I drive a 2004 Chevy Express Van with sealed headlights. The sealed beam is junk so I bought reflectors and installed non-original bulbs. I liked these a lot more, much lighter and better in color. But after having to replace a couple of lightbulbs for $25 a pair over the course of a year, I decided I'd had enough and bought these LEDs. It should have happened long ago. Brightness and color even surpass aftermarket bulbs. I would like the front lens to be glass (like Sealed Beams) as the plastic has scratches and may need polishing in the future. But I live in Alaska where we have total or almost total darkness four months of the year and that is God sent. Also, I've seen similar LEDs heat up due to the lower temperature of the LEDs to prevent icing. We see -40F for several weeks and remain below freezing from late October through March, and I've had no problems with icing.
