Can't rate durability as I haven't had it long enough. This is the quietest hand mixer I have ever owned in my 50 years as a chef. I bought this to use when my stand mixer is too big for the job. I find this Elehomes mixer awkward to use and store due to the retractable cord feature. However, I like this feature. CONS: The blender does not stand well on its edge (wobbles) when placed on the counter while adding ingredients etc. to the mixing bowl. CONS: The paddles aren't long enough to fit in a deeper bowl like the large 8-cup measuring cup I often use for batter. Using a shallower bowl will result in splattering. PROS: I think slow speed is really slow, which is ideal if you don't want to overmix. High speed is also real speed. The turbo button really helps if you just don't want to shift for a few seconds. It easily handles heavy cookie dough and mixes ingredients when making cakes or cheesecakes. whipped cream nice. Cons: I feel like regular paddles could use one more wire instead of the four they have. For more complete ingredient inclusion without over-mixing. Pro: The price was right.
