I was a little skeptical as some reviews mentioned it wasn't designed for heavy items but so far so good. We bought to store winter coats and other items that weren't used all the time in a place where there wouldn't be dust or cat hair in our basement. It's easier to get together with people. I wouldn't want to do it alone, but that's because it's quite large. It actually has more space than the closet in our bedroom! We have at least 15 coats of different weights hanging in there, several shirts, etc., and we put shoes on the bottom. So far it's holding up very well. It zips up and we both think it was worth it! In fact, we can order another one for our bedroom!
