This is by far the best cheese slicer I have ever used. He looks like a toy, but he's actually a champion. Right out of the box I used it to easily and safely slice (about 1/16 inch) 40 ounces. a block of Tillamook Colby Jack cheese (from Costco) in under 5 minutes; This includes the cleaning time of the slicer. This little slicer has outperformed my electric meat/cheese slicer and other manual slicers I've tried. It looks like a small paper cutter but packs a punch thanks to an easily adjustable thickness guide that exits the cutting area when the handle is finished cutting. Cleaning is easy as the entire cutting edge is stable and clearly visible. It's important to note that the slicing is so quick that the cheese doesn't have time to warm up while holding it; So every cut sits firmly and securely. At the same time, the cheese does not crumble like other cuts. All of these features make this food slicer a bargain that's fun to use.
