Review on ๐ŸŒฒ Woods Clamp Lamp with 10 Inch Reflector and Bulb Guard - 300W Bulb, 6ft Cord by Ali Saunders

It powers the bulb, but it doesn't shine where you want it to.

It does hold and power the bulb but it doesn't do its basic job of clamping anything and adjusting the angle of the light. A rubber grip is placed over it. The rubber holds up fairly well, but the clips aren't tight enough to hold the light securely if placed at an odd angle or if you're using a particularly heavy bulb (e.g. for plants). In addition, the clamp cannot be used on pipes, which require more direct contact with their surface. The slight tilt mechanism has to be the worst attempt at such a mechanism I have ever seen. There is a clip to hold the bracket in place which is in two halves which are then bolted together with a wing nut. The two pieces have a tail that runs past the wing nut and then diverges again with small indentations that gently hold the thumbscrew that ultimately determines the angle. So how do you change the angle? You loosen the wing nut, move the light to the desired angle, and tighten the wing nut. The light then quickly falls out of the corner leaving you in this ridiculous dance of constantly tightening the wing nut only for the light to inevitably fall down until finally you can't tighten it any further as that will simply damage the fixture. What was the main purpose of this light. The clamp that tightens around the thumbscrew is clearly not even designed for that purpose, as it's intended to be used to thread something through the cutouts, but apparently this company thought this was the best solution, whatever the original purpose of the mysterious lasts was . . Finally, if all you want is a lantern that attaches to something and doesn't hold a heavy lightbulb, and it doesn't really matter if it keeps its angle, then by all means get these; it's pretty cheap. But if you need something that will attach to a variety of surfaces, hold a heavier bulb, or hold its angle, then choose a better product.
