Holds an iPad 3 securely on a trailer dashboard. The iPad is easy to install and remove from the X Grip III after initial assembly and setup. It can also hold an iPad with a Snugg leather sleeve, although I found it a little special when the edge is up, meaning it's more secure with the lid hinge facing down. I also adjusted it so that the bottom of the X Grip III rests on the dashboard's vertical surface to dampen vibration. A small problem with this product is that the initial assembly is a bit tricky. You need to install two side brackets and attach them with tiny screws that are difficult to screw in while holding the parts in place. After the initial assembly, the iPad can be quickly and easily installed and removed.
