Absolutely, for example, "optional" extra brackets can be metal instead of plastic, and a few other small but acceptable downsides. Holds an iPad 3 securely on a trailer dashboard. The iPad is easy to install and remove from the X Grip III after initial assembly and setup. It can also hold an iPad with a Snugg leather sleeve, although I found it a little special when the edge is up, meaning it's more secure with the lid hinge facing down. The mount fits my Asus TF700T (10 inch) tablet well. The tablet is the maximum width it can take with the end mounts, it rubs on both ends as it goes into the mount. I use it mounted on my dash to hold the tablet as an off-road GPS. I'm a cross country jumper and with my tablet in this holder I have no reason to worry.
