Easy to use but temperature problem

The read/write speed of the Sandisk Extreme card was 90 MB/s, which is quite satisfactory in this regard. However, the adapter gets very hot after a while. I moved about 20GB of data to it and it burned. I'm not sure how soon this will affect the durability of the card.
