The reason for replacing the master cylinder was that the brake pedal would hit the floor sometimes with little braking. The new master cylinder arrived quickly. It was neatly and neatly packed; Ready to install. The assembly instructions were easy to understand and follow. I followed the instructions and pre-filled the master cylinder with brake fluid. After installation, I bled the brake fluid until fresh, clean fluid came out of each of the four bleed holes in the slave cylinder. The brakes now work perfectly. My only surprise was that the old master cylinder had a seal against the vacuum booster. The old gasket was not reusable and the new cylinder was not. This does not affect the quality of the part I purchased. It was all there was to be. I've been riding it for about six weeks and no problems.
