Review on πŸ”₯ Cuisinart CGPR-223 XL Cast Iron Griddle Press: The Ultimate Tool for Perfect Grilling by Ananta Crowley

Ideal. but not in the Kitchen & Dining category

I love Cuisinart. I have a Cuisinart panini press but since I don't use it every day it has been removed along with other seldom used electronics like the waffle maker. I have a massive amount of cast iron and I am all lodge cast iron. I decided to buy a square grill pan and press so it was easier to get and use than lugging around a panini press for just a sandwich. I broke my lodge just because of the cast iron ruler and went with the Cuisinart cast iron press because of the lighter weight. I want my sandwiches to be grilled, not smashed. Advantages. The weight is perfect and the wooden handle doesn't get hot. It presses evenly and doesn't crush everything. minuses. I lit it on my ceramic burner at the same temperature and time as my new Lodge cast iron griddle pan that I ordered at the same time. It wasn't even remotely hot enough to leave a single line on the bread 😲. One of the reasons I took it was to be able to cheat and toast both sides of the sandwich at the same time. The worst part. and it's all my fault. I guess I didn't pay attention to the dimensions. it only fits sideways in a grill pan. Otherwise, it's more than a frying pan. So you need to side-fry your sandwich in a direction that allows you to use the spatula in the opposite direction of the pan's "grates/ridges". This is not fun. It works great as a press, it's the right weight, and if you just want a flat press that won't leave grill marks on your food and you plan on using it with a larger pan than the cottage grill. The Frying Pan is sold on Revain here. You will love it. If you want to use it on the grill. I'm not sure if the pen is made for it.
