I have been buying fleece rolls for many years. I thought about converting to leaves but really wanted them to fit my 5x7 tires easily. They meet all requirements. The average weight, which is perfect for me for most of my projects, is a bit thicker than I'm used to. One review mentioned that they weigh paper towels and I agree that they are a little thicker than I'm used to and can be a little off-putting, but that didn't affect my embroidery in any way. They roll up well with plenty of overlap on all sides, strong enough to resist stretching and a little tugging for a nice tight sewing bed. (I just attach my gimbal and use spray glue to hold my project in place.) I have a Brother PE 770 and had no trouble flashing through this gimbal.
