Review on BeaverCraft Spoon Carving Knife SK5 by Amanda Stevenson

Razor-sharp hooked knife for cutting spoons, bowls and kuksas

There are two things I really like about this hooked knife. It becomes razor sharp and can be sliced. And the long handle changes the cutting action to a rotation across the fibers. It cuts both ways as it has a double edge so it cuts through a lot of wood with speed and control. The end is blunt for added security. The only downside is that it can't be used with a strong grip (squeeze with my left hand in my case) as the back is also razor sharp to allow cutting in either direction. Overall a great tool that got me the job done in no time.

Pros
  • Razor Steel Spoon Knife: The blade is made of carbon steel and hardened to the required hardness. It is sharpened and polished for use right out of the box.
