The mount I replaced was made in the 1950's and the equipment supplied had to be modified before I fitted it to the existing junction box/hanger could install . I ended up having to drill two holes in the mounting bracket to get the screws Youtob provided through and into the existing fitting. However, once I did that the rest of the installation was successful and the light is doing exactly what I expect so far. Positive: Light does what it should. Cons: Instructions SUCK. Not enough documentation/illustrations to easily understand how to set color temperature and day/night mode. The two tiny toggle switches on the lamp aren't clearly marked, and it took me a lot of thought to finally figure it out. The equipment supplied is not even compatible with itself. The pan head screws are too big to go through the straight bracket holes cut in the bracket (the long part that snaps into the lantern itself when installed. The wire connectors that are provided are not as secure as the wire nuts. I used one , but couldn't t) to keep the other cable connected when you plug the cable back into the junction box.
