Great adapter for size and power. Wow, the performance is off the charts. Great work Edimax.

Works great. Keep it handy on your key chain. Edimax is an underrated brand. I've had Edimax routers and even a few USB network adapters in the past and can't say I have any complaints about that. They did a good job, but I can't say my experience with micro USB adapters is the same. Actually, I was really surprised by the performance of this little guy. I had an Edimax AC600 and to be honest I only had problems with it and never achieved anything in the area of its supposed performance characteristics. Everything was sluggish and there were times when it just wouldn't connect to AC at all. Regardless of the driver installation. or Windows version. Mostly with Win10x64 was my experience. Like a glutton for punishment and good news about this mini adapter AC1200, online and with friends. I decided to give it a try. HOLY COW! This is probably the best USB adapter I've ever used for networking. A micro USB adapter is always a plus as there is nothing sticking out on either side of your laptop, PC or whatever. I haven't had a single problem installing on Win10x64, W7x64, Linux Mint, Ubuntu or WinVistax64. I've used this drive in every system I have and it installed with no problems. It outperformed the internal micro PCIe card in two of those devices. It worked better than the DD-WRT router I used as a client setup. It outperformed almost every other wireless connection, with wired being one of the best. I was really pleasantly surprised by the performance of this device, the Edimax AC1200 Micro USB, and have just added two more to my basket to permanently place in two of the aforementioned laptops. Mac and LinuxMint.
