I think these balls were perfect for my first night of golf! They light up quickly and glow for a long time after each charge. They charge with the included UV flash and probably take less than 30 seconds to go around the entire ball. The extreme brightness fades a bit when you get to the ball, but it only fades a little and on dark grass and dark sky they are still very easy to see as they fade for almost 10 minutes. I've seen some others that have used bulbs with LEDs inside that flash on contact. But if we look at the quad in front of us a few times, they've had at least 4-5 hits and it hasn't caught fire, making it almost impossible to find unless you have a clear idea that yours shot is. does. We've never been so scared with the RL ball. Also, don't make balloons with a glow stick inside. of course they gave us that. We found the ball traveled a little less than our regular balls. I would say that this range increases as the racquet gets longer. I'd say it probably takes about 15 from drives, about 10 from fairways and long irons, and maybe 5-10 from your wedges/short irons. We decided to chip, serve and putt with our regular balls. We put a lantern on the ball with a pen and a headlamp. The RL balls leaked significantly more than regular balls and felt a bit dead after putting them down. I would recommend doing this from 40-50 meters depending on your comfort. I can definitely recommend this ball!
