Review on πŸ” TRACT TORIC 10X42 UHD Binocular - Enhanced Low-Light Performance and Edge-to-Edge Sharpness with Schott HT Glass by Rhonda Rrain

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent binoculars. I've tried a few and left this one. Free returns and great guarantee!

I compared them to several binoculars. In fact, I ordered and returned them to compare them in real situations, and not just in a store or in a parking lot. Here are the ones I tried: Leupold 10x42 Mojave BX-3 Pro Guide HD ($700 MSRP). - I really wanted to like her best. I found them on sale and they fit my hand really well. However, they just weren't as crisp around the edges. They also didn't bring out as much light in low light conditions. In fact, they were the first to drop out of the race. That said, I still love my Leupold scope. Vortex 10x42 Razor HD (MSRP $1,000) – You were close. But not quiet like crispy. I actually tried it in the store and could almost read 12 point font on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper in the store. However, they were almost $400 more expensive than Tract binoculars and just weren't as good. I also hated the shape of the Vortex binoculars. I'm sure someone without a nose will like them (I don't have a big wide nose...). Cabellas Instinct Euro HD (MSRP $1200) - they were good. I think they outperformed the Tracts in general light, but only marginally. Although the treatises seem sharper. I didn't really like the dioptres on the Euro either. Fine-tuning was difficult and easily knocked off with normal focusing. They're also pretty heavy. . . so 2 times cheaper. . . they went out (Although I've heard they sometimes turn up in Cabellas Cave for $400-$500 which would be great value. Tract Toric 10x42 - I saw an article in Outdoor Magazine. I wasn't convinced .But after using these (and I've compared them to several other European brands in store) They are amazing! Clear picture Sturdy construction Reasonable weight Look at details that none of the others I've tried (until to $1000), couldn't afford it I can't afford it and it was actually a stretch The only downside I see with Tract materials is that they're a new company and they're snagging them like crazy offer a better guarantee (no registration or hassle!) So long ago o w' there was a company called Vortex... and with quality glass produced all over the world... it makes sense that someone would start, seriously ft to compete on price (the folks at Cabella's and Sportsman's Warehouse who reviewed them were amazed at the quality and didn't believe in the price). A little chat. I hope this helps someone trying to commit murder. UPDATE: I've taken them hunting 2 times. They work incredibly well in low light. I couldn't be happier. In fact, I wish I'd ordered one of their scopes now (I love my Leupold, but...they're amazing).

Pros
  • A new flat multi-layer coating that improves overall light transmission in a broader light spectrum (400 to 700 nm), particularly in the green region.
Cons
  • unreliable
