Review on ๐Ÿ“ก Stellar Labs HDTV 80 Mile Deep Fringe Bowtie Television Antenna - Perfect for Long Distance Signal Reception by John Ford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

8 fly fans used in a folded configuration.

Bought 4 pieces to balance phased stay (stacked). They're fairly easy to assemble and should have enough gain to meet my goals of picking up UHF TV signals with deep edgebands. The wire harnesses included are a cheap RG59 which I will be replacing with a quality RG6 pot wire. The included hardware is steel, so the fasteners will corrode over time. Stainless steel would be a better choice for hardware, but it would add to the cost. I haven't installed this antenna yet, so more comments on the review will follow. I've moved to a new location at quite a high altitude but further away from the TV stations; So that's a reason to upgrade. Channel Master offers a similar antenna, but it's also almost double the price. I chose this model to limit the overall cost of my entire MATV system. As a radio amateur, I use my many years of experience with antennas to construct my television antenna system. I plan to attach photos when I do a review. For a MATV system like mine you need a tower to support everything as wind loading is a big issue. Not all. 73 and God bless K5EWM.
