I had a media center with a receiver on one side of the room and a projector on the other. I was able to measure the 38V AC difference between the signal ground, between the signal ground on the receiver and the HDMI cable to the projector. This voltage disabled the HDMI systems of the JVC projector and Marantz receiver. I installed this isolator at the projector location to isolate the floor and the system has been working ever since. I should also reduce background noise and such when sending unbalanced signals between devices plugged into different switches or circuits.
