My wife bought these because they look good. After using them for a few years, I really don't like them. Reasons I don't like these shakers: - The lids are cheaply made and won't screw down properly without adjustment - They're absolutely terrible at shaking or spilling spices. The lid is designed in such a way that one side must be preferred when shaking. The bottom width is wide, but the opening of the bottles narrows to a size that makes it difficult to add or remove spices (you can't use a measuring spoon if you need to measure). Overall, this is an example of a product where aesthetics were designed first and actual comfort was an afterthought.
