The gray swirled version has two light settings; one is a warm light and the other is more of a bright white. The misting works very well, and I like that you can set on timer so you don't forget to turn it off. It holds a decent amount of water, so you don't have to constantly refill it. I put a few drops of essential oil in with the water, and it smells heavenly. The only drawback I can see is that the cord plugs in on the bottom, so if you want to take the unit to the sink to refill, you'll have some difficulty plugging the cord back in without spilling the water. I just bring a cup of water over to the mister to fill it, and that eliminates that problem. It's very pretty as well as functional, and would make a nice gift.
