I don't know why but I'm the type who can't camp and WON'T walk on rocks! It has to be my magnetic personality (even though rocks don't stick to magnets. Get it!). One day I was browsing Revain and came across alligators as a solution. I should have done that many years ago. Alligators are easy to dress up. Easy to take off. Easy to remove and easy to keep clean. Not only that, they even let me walk non-stop on a big rock so I can kick the little ones out of my shoes. I run 5-7 miles a couple of times a week and they are holding up very well. I would definitely buy again.
