Review on Summer Infant Multi Use Walk Thru Bronze by Chris Jenkins

I was afraid to invest in this because of the low reviews. I'm glad I bought it so far. I was also worried it wouldn't work well because it has a max size of 48" and my door opening is 48", but it fits great. It hasn't even been lengthened as much as possible so it will probably fit even 49 or even 50 inches. The included wrench didn't help much. Channel locks would be better. To open the gate you need to perform two steps: push and lift. My 2 year old son figured out how to open our Push and Pull Expansion Swing Wide Gate but I think it will take a while for him to get the hang of it. The color is pleasant. Looks more expensive than it is. Arched gates add a nice touch even if they are off center when all extension plates are used. The instructions say it sits on the side. It says "Auto-Lock" but that's not for me. I'm probably just not feeling well. If I press it hard, it snaps into place at the bottom, but I have to press the top button to close it. never mind UPDATE: I think it's "fixed" now because it closes automatically. I didn't want to install it over the baseboard because I didn't want to trip over the threshold. Time will tell if the print will hold up or if I'll have to invest in a drill press to install the included hardware. The distance between the bars is very narrow. It is 2 inches tall BUT the angles of the flares are almost 4 inches x 4 inches so I could see small cats or small puppies. I was tempted to get a cloth gate and step over it. would be an accident even if it were half the price. you have to turn sideways. Mine separates my living room/beds/bathrooms from my dining room/kitchen/garage so we use it A LOT. Old style pressure gates with a handle would have been too bulky to remove and install multiple times a day. For children who can open gates with a different latch, for medium to large pets, for high traffic areas, and for families on a budget, this is the best choice. I spent hours reading reviews, settled on this one and am happy with it. I'll update the day this changes if it ever does.
