I like shape cut rulers and have several of these - I tend to 'fall off' the standard ruler when cutting so these slotted rulers are great for me - I can cut much faster and with better results. It's huge, but it's just what it takes to cover the fabric! I can now create many accurate 2-1/2 inch strips very quickly. Love it! I use 2-1/2 strips for jelly quilts and also for tying, so this cord has a wide range of uses. This line also makes it easy to make 5" and 10" blocks for filling amulet sets (there are only slots for every 2-1/2"; 2-1/2, 5, 7-1 /2, 10 etc. ) . I'm a little worried about the size; It's so big I have to hold it by the edge and I have to make sure the slots move up and down or they will bunch up and the ruler will sag a bit on its own. I'm worried that if I'm not careful and leave it sideways for too long, it might deform. Luckily the handle is in the 'right' place so I think it should be fine as long as I remember to always put it away handle up.
