Review on 🚰 Survimate BPA-Free Filtered Water Bottle with Integrated 4-Stage Filter Straw for Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, and Travel by Tony Cole

first impression good with one problem

update after the trip: there is a small silicone element with a holder that fits into the air vent. Mine came out halfway. If it's in place and the straw is upside down, it shouldn't leak. The cap is an additional protection. Worked well on my trip. The water didn't always taste good, but I didn't get sick either. I received this bottle yesterday to fill a spot where I don't like water. I'm testing this today. First thoughts: - the bottle is light, the filter is the heaviest part, but overall it weighs no more than my Contigo coffee mug - easy to fill, the straw works, looks like the filter is easy to change. - here's the problem: a hard plastic straw with a silicone cap. The lid still makes it tough (and only when folded). It's not attached to anything and I'm betting how long it'll be before I lose it. I would spend an extra $15 for a brand that has a leak guard built in - it takes a little effort to siphon off the water. But here's how these things work. Just don't expect it to be like a straw in a glass. I've only filled it once, so it's hard to say how good the water tastes. At least slightly better than my tap water - I'll justify my money by taking it on a trip.

Pros
  • great for me
Cons
  • not ideal
