Review on Panasonic KX TG4500B Expandable Cordless Answering by Yvonne Roybal

Before buying this phone, I carefully read all the important reviews. They were overall helpful and accurate. After receiving the phone and using it for 3 weeks we sent it back to Revain. Why: For me, this phone has a big problem: when you receive messages, you can only listen to the message through the speaker. You CANNOT use the wired handset to listen to messages. This makes the base unit unacceptable: messages MUST be received privately. What if you receive a very sensitive message and the customer walks into the office and hears the message? What if a customer calls and complains about an employee and the employee accidentally hears the message while you're getting the message? The examples are endless, but they all lead to the following: An acceptable phone service must be able to receive messages confidentially!
