272 W? I do not think so.

They advertise it as a 272w light bar. So if that's the case, then at the 12.38 volts I'm running it at, the current would be 21.97 amps (P=VI). The flashlight came with 14 GA wires. 14 GA in a 12V system will never handle anywhere near 22 amps of current. All charts I find have a minimum size of 10GA, 8GA is recommended. So I hooked this up to my system using 14 GA and a 10 amp safety switch and lo and behold the light works. If it really was 272 watts, the fuse should have blown right away, but it doesn't. Come and find out it runs at around 4 amps. It will be around 50 watts and appears to be correct. The light is quite well put together, very bright, looks good and matches what I wanted to do with it. However, the claim that this is comparable to other lamps over 200 watts is pure bullshit and false advertising. I would spend a little more and look elsewhere.
