Check all the negative reviews first, my mistake was not doing it. The controller itself is fine, good buttons and triggers, joysticks aren't very precise but they get the job done. All of this applies when you're actually using it with a PS3, but the fact of the matter is that 80% of the time it will disconnect, like any move you want to make. This has nothing to do with the PS3 system, the connection between the USB dongle and the controller is so weak that you cannot play as you should. Instead, it's better to just grab the USB cable and play with the PS4 controller. To be honest I was hoping this would be a better alternative to a controller but apparently it isn't. It just doesn't stay connected and you can't play anything without making an effort to get it working. Waste of money, complete rubbish, find something else.
