I bought winter tires for the first time in my life, before that I drove VW Polo, Toyota RAV4, Honda Civic 5d on summer tires all year round for 10 years . Currently I drive a car - Kia Sportage 3, 2.0i, AWD . Style driving - absolutely calm! In the conditions of the virtual absence of winter in our region, when the FIRST snow fell on December 26, I immediately rushed to test the tires. Prior to that, I drove about 200 km on dry and wet asphalt. The rubber is softer than the summer Hankook Optima (this is how it should be, I tested it on our cobblestone streets), quiet - I didn’t notice a difference with summer tires. Since I drive calmly, I can’t say anything about handling, cornering, everything is as it should be . On snow porridge, the car braked excellently, did not scour, I also tried sharp acceleration - confident, without slipping (in my opinion, even the rear drive is not enabled). I found one place with bare ice - I braked from a speed of 30 km / h - the ABS worked, everything was controlled. I think I won’t say anything else, we again have “zero” on the street and the snow has almost melted :) I bought tires only because of my wife, who said: “I won’t ride summer tires in WINTER!” :)
