I recently bought a pair of Harbeth P3ESRs for near field listening. I have them on metal stands at the correct listening height, but listening less than 1m away caused some issues with proper bass imaging and reproduction. I put these mini washers under the speakers and instantly my blurry images and bloated bass were gone. The image is captured perfectly and is quite realistic now, and the bass sounds like it's coming from a real instrument. I'm very skeptical of any change, but if it's a physical change and not pseudoscience, I'm open to it. This proves that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a huge sound improvement. I've read reviews elsewhere that users couldn't tell any difference between these mini washers and the more expensive IsoAcoustics Orea Graphite/Bronze isolation modules. Save your money and just buy one if your gear is light enough to handle. If not, just buy regular size washers and save some money compared to Orea series.
