Installation instructions were not included but it is easy. I wanted to know the distance when placing one bike over another. I was alone with that. The other disappointing element was the mounting screws. They aren't built for heavy use and when installing in studs I removed the Phillips head screws on two of the screws. Yes, before using my screwdriver, I checked all my bits for tightness, and I also have a full collection of bits. None fits so well. Disappointing. Are the stands working? Of course they are great! Two stars because of the poor quality of the screws and instructions.
