Review on Liquitex 4332186 BASICS Acrylic Dioxazine by Amber Perez

I love this color and it worked well for me when cast with acrylic. The jar came with a broken lid that leaked paint. Luckily the stitching didn't come undone so wastage was minimal and not worth a refund or anything. I have ordered 5 other colors in this size (not necessarily from the same sellers) and they have all been fine. This was the only issue I had and could have been due to a number of reasons - from packaging to assembly/sealing at the factory etc. I considered deducting a star for this issue but decided the rating is actually about the paintwork . Just be aware that shipping something like paint can cause problems like this. The paint itself is a beautiful color and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a dark rich purple for acrylic fills. The viscosity of Liquitex Basics is quite high, although not as high as some brands. Technically, this isn't a professional line, so keep that in mind. I think it would be good enough for brush/palette knife painting but it's not really my speed so can't say for sure.
