I need a fanned USB enclosure for a 24/7 drive (for my Mac's hourly "Time Machine" backup) to prevent overheating avoid. The drive was easy to install correctly, although I had a hard time getting the small screws back into place. If I didn't have a magnetic screwdriver this would be next to impossible. Once installed, the drive works great. Mac found and used it with no problems. My only (very minor) gripe is that the blue power indicator is recessed quite deep into the case, so it's not visible from the front unless you're looking at it with your head. on the. Some people may prefer this (as it won't light up a dark room), but I would prefer a light that's a little easier to see.
