I just reinstalled my EMPTY cover on a 2015 Tacoma that I bought to replace a 2010 Tacoma. I REALLY wanted to save a few bucks, so I kept the lid on. Removing the OLD seal was a bit of a chore, but with my son's help, a few wood chisels, a little diligence, and a good rub with alcohol, MOST of the seal's adhesive came off, which didn't matter because the old seal had two about 1 cm wide sealing strips and this new one has a strip about 2.5 cm wide so there was good overlap and coverage where the old one had missed. .The small rolled up strip of butyl rubber almost missed hitting as it was in the middle of the roll but read the instructions, follow them and everything will go exactly as planned. local.EZPZ. A very good deal. I would buy it again.
