That's exactly what it should be.
This box does exactly what you need. I use it in my garage wood workshop. I hear ringing through my headphones when all the noisy machines are running, as well as the dust extractor, radio, and air circulator. When the garage is quiet. The call scares me to death. Luckily the saws don't work when the shop is quiet. The bell also has a two-position volume knob, a small phone cord (RJ-11), and a thin light that flashes when it rings. The LED flashing light is more of a confirmation when you think you hear a call.
