Review on Siraya Tech Sculpt Ultra 3D Printer Resin High Temperature Resolution Resistance LCD UV-Curing Resin For Engineering Jewelry And Industrial Application (Ultra White by Mike Bogan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used for high temperature injection molds and open cast molds.

This is the fourth time I use this resin. It's the only heat-resistant resin that's cheap to buy. There are other "technical" grade resins out there, but they cost almost twice as much. Additionally, other resins come in proprietary containers designed for specific resin 3D printers. This ultra white resin prints to very tight tolerances on my X1 printer. I am currently working with cast lead. I'm working on improving bullet shapes for airguns. These pellet molds still need some tweaking to streamline my workflow, but for now I can honestly say I'm on the right track with this particular resin, especially as I pour some molten lead into them up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit. If not done properly, putting that much heat into my tiny pellet molds can ruin them in fairly short order. There is a set order that must be followed not only for safety reasons, but also for a successful throw. Be safe everyone.

Pros
  • LOW SHRINKAGE Siraya Tech's 3D printing resin shrinks during the curing process, resulting in a smooth surface and high-resolution print, and is required for many traditional manufacturing processes. .
Cons
