screen. The screen is a good size and I fitted it to my 2007 Honda Ridgeline. This wasn't easy as the adjustment screws were tightened to allow the screen to be tilted. And I couldn't use the screen locking pins. The touch portion of the screen was very responsive, just like any other tablet. The screen's biggest downside was the ability to see it poorly or not at all in polarized sunglasses. This is a big problem for me. And I'll probably return it for that reason alone. I wasn't a big fan of the installed "launcher" (user interface) but few of them can be downloaded and installed. sound quality. As for the sound quality, I did not use the amplifier in the device and used an external amplifier. Apple CarPlay I got a Carlikit CarPlay adapter ($60) and it worked fine, but if you're using CarPlay from a factory OEM unit then it's not exactly the same. You won't see the text of your messages, only Siri will read them out loud. It also doesn't show any images or links. When you use Waze in CarPlay, the built-in Pandora you normally use doesn't work. You must have separated. You can listen to Pandora and use Waze at the same time, but browsing Waze doesn't show music information. which is helpful. When connected to the Carlinkit adapter, the system will automatically open and connect to CarPlay. And it charges the phone (0.8 amps), so no fast charging. You can use your phone as usual, but if you switch from an app that was on the screen, such as B. Waze, the home screen is displayed on the device. Returning to the Waze app will turn it back on. The same goes for messages or phone. And possibly any other CarPlay app. To arrange the CarPlay apps on the screen, this is done in the phone settings. One more thing about working with CarPlay, I'm not sure if it's the device or the adapter, but the CarPlay screen isn't dimmable, if so, not by much, so when driving at night the device shines brighter than I would like. When you're not in CarPlay, the screen dims and can be adjusted through Settings. Backup camera. The rear camera works well. The device has the ability to add redundant lines or mirror the image if you wish. You can also mute or mute the music during the backup if you want. (Music is disabled by default). I haven't found a way to display the rear camera while driving or not when reversing. There is an FCAM (front camera) option to enable this input from the device. But no backup. steering wheel control. This was one of the longest parts of the installation. Because there were no instructions. In my case there were two wires for the Honda wiring. Third pin from the top right (green/red) (when looking at the factory plug with the clip on top) and the rightmost pin from the bottom (brown). Key wire 1 is connected to one of these two, and key wire 2 is connected to the other. But it wasn't difficult. The bottom wire (brown) must also be grounded. I had to deal with it. But after that it works fine. When programming, I had to program the buttons twice. Once when the machine is running and once when it is not running. This is due to the voltage difference. But the programming is very simple. I can add that later if I find details.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
