Review on ๐ŸŽต ADS Tech RDX-150-EF Immediate Music by Mark Toth

Good, but far from ideal.

It took me some time to get the device to work properly. It's not clear if the problem was with the device or with the Nero software, but I'm still unable to listen to music through my computer during the recording phase because the software requires it. It's no tragedy as I can use my stereo to listen to an LP on a vinyl record that sounds a lot better anyway. As for manipulating the recorded track, the auto track detection is essentially useless, especially with classical music, so I just switched to manual control. Oddly enough---but fortunately, when I edit a recorded file with Nero, I CAN play it through my computer's speakers. On an LP album, if you pay attention to the track time information and listen to the recording, it's fairly easy to insert track breaks at the appropriate points. I've only transcribed about 15 LPs so far, so I haven't encountered any usage restrictions. Just a warning to anyone facing a large-scale transcription project: if you're not willing to accept the results of the automatic track detection, be prepared to spend anywhere from half an hour to 45 minutes after the LP recording ends to start recording. write a CD.
