I had high hopes that this product would provide an inexpensive way to burn vinyl and cassettes to CD. But so far I am very disappointed with the results. The hardware seems to work well, but the software is very unreliable. Out of half a dozen attempts to burn vinyl to CD, the product only worked properly once. This is the product I've been looking for for a long time, something to help me get the music off all those old vinyl records onto my computer. InstantMusic is pretty easy to use. And the price is very reasonable. (I have a Mac iBook and have no problem recording from any source. In iTunes I change the format from AITT to AAC to save space.) Of course, captioning and captioning takes a long time, but it's inevitable. . I would unreservedly recommend InstantMusic.

The package says the software is included ---- it's not! After contacting support, they told me where to download the software and instructions (which are also not included). As soon as I started, I noticed that the recording is only in mono. Again not specified in the instructions or software information. Given some of the devastating reviews here, I'm a bit surprised that this package works without too many problems. I hooked up my amp's output to a USB device and I can record anything that's playing "stereo" pretty easily. This device and software has already saved me money because I will no longer buy CDs of my old music. Some of this old stuff isn't available on CD anyway. I only used this to transfer a cassette to a computer and this little piece of hardware worked great. All I needed was a $6 Target plug that I plugged into my portable cassette player and I was able to transfer the music to my computer. I'm still trying to fix bugs in the software but I think it's more of a user issue as I'm not familiar with the musical jargon. I would have liked a more intuitive software for a beginner, but in general I think I should be able to easily burn my old tapes to…

This device did the job. However, I actually had to buy a turntable and a new amp to use it. I think there are products that do everything in one package and are much easier to use. It would be a shame to lose all the music I've collected over the decades, so I'm glad I was able to convert the albums, which I did. However, since the process required me to acquire all of the above hardware along with my laptop, this is not a job I am doing as eagerly as I should.

This product does not work. I installed it fine. But the Wave Editor - for creating MP3 files did not work. I tried many different approaches but nothing worked. I have read other reviews warning that this product does not work on Windows 7 or Vista. I wasted my money. I also tried installing it on a computer running XP SP3, but the same thing happened - the wave editor wouldn't load. Luckily when I buy from Revain I can return the product.
