I was 99% sure it was defective as was I.

I was 99% sure it was a defect as all I could see was vertical lines on a white background. Installing drivers didn't fix it. I had to take the source and install it that way. now it seems to work. Here is the section on the wiki: [.] I changed my 4 stars to 2 because this screen is really a POS. It cannot move or be held, or it is not working. Apparently it's the wrong HDMI port connection that I need to ask to solder. Many Thanks.
