Review on Efficient Metal Cutting with BOSCH T118G 5-Piece 3-5/8 In. 36 TPI Basic for Metal T-Shank Jig Saw Blades by Justin Anderson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They work but are a bit slow. For the money, however, it's hard to beat.

If you need to cut yourself a little and you are not in a hurry, these blades will come to your rescue. A few things: #1. I had to sand about 1/4 inch from the end and burrs. My very old but still working Craftsman puzzle was moving the blade away from the material. It got me ahead when there were no teeth. Shortening the blade allowed me to keep the teeth fully engaged no matter where the saw was in its journey. #2. I had to file off the small wings on the blade. Again due to my very old Craftman jigsaw. #3. It seems to work best at a lower speed. I gave it just enough gas to keep it going. This worked much better than the faster hits. #4. He throws shavings right in your face. Wear safety goggles or have a strong magnet handy. #5. It's pretty slow. It takes about 1 minute to cut 1/4 inch soft board per 1 inch. It was pretty warm when I finished. Gloves aren't necessary, but if I had to cut off more than an inch I'd take them.
