These consumables are of poor quality. They just fly apart, although I use them correctly and according to the parameters set by the plasma manufacturer. That's what happens. As you strike the arc, the tungsten core (cast into the arc tip) flies out and closes on the inside of the air nozzle, then punches a hole in the tip with a jet of molten copper. I've found that I can shave a few minutes off my cutting time by derating my 40 amp machine by about 10-15 amps. To be fair my Chinese Riland plasma cutter came with 6 tips which have been used to make many turbo manifolds over the last 10 years. In an hour I used 15 of my new Yeswelder bits to cut multiple sections of 1/8" steel angle. BTW, don't bother calling their Revain number, the website is listed there, and don't bother emailing, it's not. get no answer.
