Review on 🔒 New Front Right Door Lock Actuator Motor 51217011250 Replacement for BMW E46 M3 330Ci 328Ci 325Ci - labwork-parts by Brian Garrett

Initially concerned about purchasing this part to replace the passenger door lock actuator in my 2002 BMW 325ci due to a lack of reviews. However, I decided to give it a try (at $69, that's about a third of the price of the original part). Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the packaging and installation process, but there are plenty of helpful DIY videos. I link to two videos below. The door latch mechanism is already lubricated, so no additional oil or WD-40 is required. Build Quality: I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality. It consists of several metal parts and looks very durable. It also looks the same as the OEM part. - Function: Works great. It fits perfectly - just as it should be. It seems quieter than the stock lock on my driver's door (probably because the stock one is 17 years old). -Installation procedure: Took me about 2 hours for my door speaker (but during that time I also replaced the wiring), so it can definitely be done in less time). If you're doing the swap yourself (for the BMW E46 coupe) I recommend watching the video from "Bimmer Clubsport" (blue 330ci pictured - very informative and gives tips on how to get the minimum number of parts for a successful Removal can remove door lock actuator replacement) and from ShopLifeTV (there are excellent tips on how to connect (and disconnect) each wire to the door lock mechanism). any problems - everything has been great so far *** Update June 2020 - everything still works great! **
