The reliability of Blackmagic products is amazing. Before using this product, I used Matrox.

The easiest and most useful HDMI output I've ever had. When I first heard about Blackmagic I was blown away. My church uses many Blackmagic solutions and after seeing what they did at the lower cost of some other solutions I was sold. The reliability of Blackmagic products is amazing. Before using this product, I used Matrox products. Now I'm a Mac user, but back when I was new to the video industry I was a Windows user, mostly because I used it for work. I used the Matrox system and everything was fine. Then when I switched to a Mac, I got a more modern Matrox MX2 mini, absolutely awful. I paid $449 for this thing and it has always been faulty. When I bought this thing, it took Matrox 6 months to even get the software for what I had at the time, Premier Pro CS5. I've always used the software that matched my operating system and editing software. It never worked as intended, maybe it was fine on Windows, but the paper weight was $449 when used on a Mac with Premiere Pro CS5. Then one day Matrox just stopped working. So I was skeptical about the low price of the DeckLink Mini monitor. It just works! I emailed the company telling them what OS I'm using and that I'm using CS6. I was pointed to the latest driver 10.6.2. This version works with OS 10.11 running Premiere Pro CS6. Although the software mentions CC 2014 and newer, it works with CS6! So, to my satisfaction, it does exactly what I need. Without a doubt 1000 times better than the Matrox MX02 mini you ever thought of! It's just a way out, but that's all I need. I need this to preview how my content will look on an HDTV monitor. Because the colors of the TV are different from the colors of the computer monitor. You need to view the image on a real TV when editing to bring the color closer to ideal.
