Neutral Feelings

This is a good book. To be honest, if it was on a shelf in a store and I could look through it, I probably wouldn't have bought it. The beautiful pattern on the cover is the reason I bought this book as I was hoping/expecting that all of the content would go in the same direction as the cover. There are diagrams as well as written instructions. The charts are good for the most part, my only issue is that the line numbers aren't very clear. There are 9 elastic patterns, 6 stitch patterns, 15 lace patterns and 10 elastic patterns. And finally, a few projects: a clutch, a scarf, a warmer sleeve and a sweater. Some patterns don't look like leaves at all, for example lace pattern 14. This is quite an openwork stitch, it just doesn't look like a leaf to me. Maybe someone else sees the sheet, but I don't. The "Cable" 9 pattern doesn't look like a seam at all, let alone a sheet. Vein 4 doesn't really look like a single stitch. Maybe it's just the yarn the designer chose to make the buttonholes stand out and they would look better in a different yarn. The images for Vein 1 and Vein 8 look like the same pattern, although the instructions are significantly different. Many sample designs also look sloppy. I like a few stitch patterns, but overall I wish I'd saved my $27 for another book. and they will look better in different yarn.
