This strainer is a must have if you like smooth sauces, smooth syrups etc. I've had an overabundance of strawberries this season. So I canned all the strawberries under the sun! I've made everything from strawberry pie filling to strawberry syrup to strawberry/lemonade concentrate. I had other filters but they couldn't remove all the seeds for the syrup and strawberry/lemonade concentrate. There were no problems with this filter. I have to admit it was a little bigger than I expected but he said it was 9 inches. It works great on the bowl. I can't wait for the grapes to ripen so I can make grape juice and strain it with this amazing strainer!
