Review on 🔧 Enhanced Woodworking Fence Flip Stop - POWERTEC 71135 2-1/4-Inch by Aries Boyce

I am ashamed that I did not read carefully before buying. Two things should have caught my attention. First, it comes with a 5/16 screw, not the more standard 1/4 that some of us use for jigs and jigs. Second, the swing arm is only 2 1/4 inches long, which limits the height of the stop. My use is a fence extension for my home miter saw. I've considered simply bolting a "regular" T-track to the edge of a 3/4" thick board fence to use this stop. But then I would have lost about 1/4" more, even if I would have no problem with the 5/16 screw Fix: Use a 1/4" screw instead of the included 5/16 screw. I already have a set of "grips" PowerTec. If the 1/4 screw isn't tightening "enough", maybe I can add a bushing. Install a "standard" T-rail at the top of the 3/4" board anyway, but make a "sleeve" to stop your finger on my 3D printer. That way it can I can freely design the effective finger length (and fence height).The overall quality of this item is very good.It has anti-rotation features that look like they would work even in a narrower T-profile.Its design allows it to be used in a variety of orientations.I I have several PowerTec products and am very satisfied with the quality, functionality and ease of use, so this purchase is another episode in my "prepare, shoot, aim” life.
