How to Get It Airborne: Lighting and Ceiling Fans

Need instructions on getting this unit airborne other than telling you to be patient? As you begin, you will see that one end of the moon is weighted down with a magnet, which is obviously the underside of the moon, directly opposite the base. The instructions tell you to gently lower the moon, cupped hands, from a height of 6 inches; this part is correct. Since the moon is only floating 1 inch from the base, you need to descend to that height. The real trick is that you have to cup your hands to the point where they partially block the magnet at the base of the moon and then lower your hands until they touch the base with the moon just 1 inch above . At this point you need to wriggle into position. slight relief for the moon moving up from the base Another thing I noticed is that the so called switch at the base doesn't change the color of the moon for us, an issue I've read about in other reviews here have mentioned. However, we can change the color by lifting the moon out of its levitation and then replacing it. This method doesn't make much sense or sense, but give it a try if you're having the same problem. I am constantly concerned about people's inability to provide clear and useful instructions. Let me tell you an astronomical anecdote. In preparation for our first total solar eclipse, we read and reviewed several instructions for observing it. Neither of these instructions mention that cloud cover can and will ruin an eclipse if it passes between you and the moon during the event. It happened to us. Our solution was to drive like crazy to stay one step ahead of the cloud cover. There was a crazy 30 minute drive just before the eclipse but we were rewarded with the full experience. This key piece of information - being aware of the expected weather and being ready to drive if necessary - was never mentioned.
