I really like this jug. I can put it on its side in the fridge without leaking, which helps because my fridge is small and I can't fit a whole bunch in. Plus, it's made in Japan! Not China! This was my #1 selling point. I read a few reviews before purchasing and just wanted to answer a few of them. Some reviews indicated that this pitcher doesn't pour as quickly. To be honest, I don't see that at all. If it had flowed faster I would have made a mess right and left. These reviewers may not have opened the lid fully before pouring, which closed the hole and slowed the spill. Some reviewers had an issue with the lid screwing on tight and the handle not matching the back of the jug. You don't have to screw the lid on so tight that the handle doesn't fit. You can screw it on and align the handle and it still won't leak. I understand that the feel of a tightly screwed lid makes you feel better about putting it on its side, but that's not the case with this jug. For example, supporting great products that are not made in China.
